Hi. I have a 2 months old baby and currently getting his paperwork organised for coming back to Thailand.

My first son (10yrs old) has an ED visa and I have a guardian visa which are getting renewed every year.

What kind of visa does the baby need and what documents? We are currently not in Thailand but plan to fly end of March. Can anybody help please? I am trying to call the Thai embassy in Frankfurt and Berlin for weeks with no success.

Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the appropriate visa for their 2-month-old baby as they plan to return to Thailand from abroad. They currently have a guardian visa and their older son has an ED visa. A comment suggests either obtaining a single entry tourist visa or potentially a NON-O visa for the baby, noting that children under 15 do not incur overstay penalties.

either get them a single entry tourist visa, OR show your visa/extension and see if they'll issue a non-O visa to them.

Worst case you bring them in with NO visa and let them overstay. There is no overstay penalty for children under 15 and no banning for children under 18

yes, thanks. What does he mean by visa extension?

your current allowance to stay (Non-O guardian visa or extension of stay)

I mean IF you are going to apply for a Non-O visa for the baby, show the birth certificate and the stamp you get every year from the immigration office (called an extension) for raising your son here on an ED visa

so you mean flying without visa for the baby to Thailand. Then he would get first a tourist visa for 30 days, right? After the 30 days, I go to immigration and apply for a Non-O visa for him?

, there is no 30 day tourist visa, if he gets in without a visa it'd be on a visa exempt entry stamp and no you can't get him a non-O visa inside the country. You either do it at the thai consulate in the country you're in now (by showing YOU have a valid visa for thailand, your extension) or you just bring him in visa exempt and let him overstay

ok if he would overstay would they do a note in his passport? (I learnt they cant fine him or put him on the blacklist)
