TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry relates to whether a visa is required for an under-2-year-old child accompanying a parent studying in Thailand. Officially, children need a visa to stay in Thailand, although children under 15 years are generally not fined for overstaying. Some parents opt to let their children overstay until a visa is necessary for schooling.

Officially children need a visa to stay inside Thailand, but children till 15 years of age do not get fined for overstay. Many parents choose to let them overstay till the moment the need visa to go school.
