My child was born in Thailand in March of 2020. (Non-Thai) We have US passports. I am here on Non-B / Work Permit. Do I need to get a visa for the baby? I assume so if we ever plan to travel outside the country in the future. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A child born in Thailand to non-Thai parents does not require a visa immediately if they remain in the country. However, a visa will be needed for future travel outside Thailand and re-entry. It's sufficient to keep the child's birth certificate handy until a visa is obtained.

No. They will need if you leave and re-enter though. In the meantime just have their birth certificate and you’ll be good to go.

Children under 15 cannot be fined for overstay and children under 18 cannot be banned for it, so I'd say you're fine for a good few years without worrying about it
