Hello everyone,

I'm looking to come to Thailand the start of next year with my little girl who is 2. I was looking to get a 90 day visa, or a tourist and just extend it whilst I'm in the country. Everything has changed so much since I last came, and having a child in not sure how it all works now.

Any advice would be much appreciated xxx

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler seeks advice on obtaining a 90-day visa or tourist visa for Thailand while coming with a 2-year-old child, noting changes in visa rules since their last visit. Responses suggest using a 60-day tourist visa with an extension and note that children may not face penalties regarding visa requirements.

We phoned the Thai embassy in Vancouver (Canada) and they were very helpful answering all our questions

Both need to go for the 60 day tv and extension. Can be argued that the kid doesn't need a visa (assuming you can both get visa exempt) as they can't be fined or banned, by that I mean they need it but nothing will happen if they dont
