Hi, I am on Retirement Visa renting a house in Phuket. I have relatives come here on a regular 30 days Tourist Visa and would like now to extend another 30 days. Since my relatives stayed at my place and not in a hotel, do I need to ask my lamdlord his house book to be able to get the 30-days extension at Immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about whether they need their landlord's house book to extend their relatives' 30-day Tourist Visa at Immigration in Phuket, given that their relatives are staying at their rented house. A commenter notes that property owners must register foreign visitors (TM30) but that the Phuket office does not require a TM30 receipt for a 30-day tourism extension. Additionally, relatives eligible for visa exemption may receive a 60-day stamp initially, with the option to apply for an extension.

- As a rule, all foreigners have to be registered TM30. So you are supposed to ask your landlord to register them regardless of extension applications
- At the Phuket office, they don't require you to have a TM30 receipt for 30 days tourism extension
- If your relatives are eligible for visa-exempt, not visa-waiver, they will be stamped for 60 days now. (Still possible to apply for a tourism extension)
- Another chance other than extensions you may need TM30 is in case you are involved with the police.
