TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about needing a TM30 receipt for extending their tourist visa, mentioning their landlord has not filed this registration despite having a signed rental contract. They seek guidance on where to extend their visa. Responses indicate that a TM30 receipt may be required depending on past registrations and hotel stays. They are advised to either have their landlord register online or file the TM30 themselves. Additionally, directions to the appropriate immigration offices in Bangkok are provided, along with an update about the user's overstay situation, prompting concern for the best course of action.

, what you can do is going to the immigration office the first thing tomorrow, try to apply for 30 days extension. You need to pay overstay fine. The best case is that your application is approved and you will get 30 days (but may be since your previous expiry date, 30 days include overstay days). The worst case your application would be denied and stamped for 7 days (maximum) to leave.

So be prepared to leave soon.

Or, leave Thailand as soon as possible by paying overstay fine at departure.

My landlord still hasn't done this but laksi square did accept a copy of rental contract and the landlords id card (copy).

If you were registered at a hotel in another province, or you have an extensive history of enter/stay Thailand, especially during the Covid chaos, you most likely will be asked for a TM30 receipt. If no to either, you may not be asked for a TM30 receipt.

You can ask your landlord to register online. Or you can do a "self-file" in Bangkok if you need to.

For self-file, See this post by Tod Daniels at

If you entered on an actual Tourist Visa which you paid before you flew into Thailand and were stamped for 60 days, you are going to go to Chaengwattana Immigration office, Government Complex Building B.

You will go here.

If you entered Thailand without purchasing a visa prior to your travel to Thailand, you are going to go to IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office, just next to Lak Si station on SRT Dark Red Line.

You will go here.

And you can book online here
