TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian traveling to Thailand from December 12 to December 28, 2025, for a holiday lasting less than 60 days does not need a visa. Instead, they will receive a 60-day visa exempt stamp upon arrival. Travelers are advised to fill in the arrival card (TDAC) online up to 3 days before arrival.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

What "No"? Try to get through Thai immigration without it. You will be sent to a kiosk to fill it in, no entry into Thai without it.
Stig *****************
You have too

Yes

@Stig ****************
do you have google in your village?
Steve *********
If I live in Thailand and want to holiday back to my own country for maybe a month,do I need to fill in TDAC on return to Thailand,I have yellow book and green card 🤔?
Phil *******
@Steve ********
of course you do.
Baz *********
@Steve ********
Yes, as a foreigner every time you enter Thailand you require a new TDAC ..

Regardless of what visa you have.
Steve *********
@Baz ********
ok thank you,I just thought as I live here now I wouldn’t need to that’s all 🤷‍♂️
Baz *********
@Steve ********
I think from memory there is a place on the TDAC online form to enter your Visa number or information if you are entering on an actual visa (Not Visa exemption like most tourists would) I think its an optional entry field but if you do have a retirement or marriage visa you probably should put that information in for the TDAC
Steve *********
@Baz ********
I have a non o visa at the moment,just extended to a year
Greg ***********
@Steve ********
then you don't have any "visa". You have a 12-months extended stay permit. The visa you started with, already became invalid the moment you entered Thailand on it. And it doesn't matter - every Non-Thai needs to fill out the online TDAC before every entry into Thailand
Steve *********
@Stig ****************
so I wouldn’t need to fill in TDAC again then?🤔
Kim **********
@Steve ********
every single time you enter the country you need one. They are free. It’s not that big a deal to fill them out. I went to Singapore for 4 hours and had to fill one out to reenter
Steve *********
@Kim *********
I know it’s not a big deal I’ve done before,all I want to know do I need to fill one out still if I live in Thailand and have a yellow book and pink card 🤔
Phil *******
@Steve ********
I have a yellow bike and a pink shirt, they're just as irrelevant as your coloured items.
Kim **********
@Steve ********
yes. If you aren’t a Thai citizen you need one every time

@Kim *********
ok thank you 🙏

@Stig ****************
I have a non o visa extended for 12 months🤔

Ok thank you

No if you are staying less than 60 days you don’t need a visa, you will get a 60 day visa exempt stamp when you land. But you will need to fill out your TDAC online.

@Rob *********
until you are ready to come and they change it to 30 days .Multiple entry tourist visa is what exam using now ,I can stay up to 9 months. Because tourism is down and they want more tourist. It's a great time to make things harder and discourage people from staying longer. Lol

@Robert ********
Yea, I stress about that (going in a few weeks).
Ralph ********
No visa needed but fill in the arrival card from 3 days before arrival.

That's 16 days. Nothing to worry about but do remember the online thing you submit 72 hours before arriving. But even that you can do on arrival.
Johan ***************
@Gerard *************
What does "72 hours" mean? Is it LATEST 72 hours before, or EARLIEST 72 hours before arrival? Unfortunately, it is difficult to find online reliable information about the ever-changing rules.
Gerard **************
@Johan **************
Before arriving. But Malaysia has the same thing. Can do arriving
Johan ***************
@Gerard *************
Sorry, you did not clarify! "Before arriving" is obvious, but is 72 hours the LATEST or the EARLIEST time to do it?

@Rick *********
if your history of entries into thailand are not many you get 60 days Visa exempt
Todd ********
@Phil *****
after posting that question….doubt he has ever been to Thailand.
Todd *********
@Phil *****
lol, even if his history was enormous, he still gets 60 on a Canadian passport
Phil ******
@Todd ********
no not now. He would be denied entry

@Phil *****

Depends on how long you intend to stay. If just a holiday scenario for less than 60 days then no you don’t.

If you’re intending to stay longer then you possibly do.
