My bf, ravelling to Thailand soon and wanted to know if he have to apply for a visa for 19 nights. He come from Mauritius. If anyone could inform me please thank you.
Answer summary
As of now, Mauritian citizens can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 60 days under the tourist visa exemption. However, there is a pending change that may reduce this exemption to 15 days. Therefore, for a stay of 19 nights, it is advisable for him to obtain a single-entry tourist visa for 60 days to avoid any potential issues with the rule change.

Currently he will get 60 days, so no problem. When the rules change he will get 15 days. I don’t know if any extension can be arranged.
Safest thing would be to get a single entry tourist visa, which will give 60 days. That way you don’t have to worry about the rules changing.
As of today, Mauritian citizens are legally entitled to enter Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days under the current tourist visa exemption scheme. However, a major update is underway. The Thai Cabinet has approved a plan to roll back the 60-day rule. Once officially published in the Royal Gazette and fully implemented, the visa-free period for Mauritian passport holders will be reduced to a 15-day exemption. Because this rule change is pending but not yet active, you must carefully monitor the official rollout.
Expect 15 day notice period once published in Royal Gazette.
Google result asking thai embassy ...don't forget TDAC
Sofia Stoyanov Required Documents (Per Thai Immigration Authority)The Embassy directs travelers to local immigration checkpoints where you must submit the following to secure your 30-day extension:
The Application Form: Form TM.7 (Extension of Temporary Stay), completed and signed at the office.
Passport Photocopies: One copy of your passport's main photo page and one copy of the page showing your current arrival stamp.
Passport Photo: One recent passport-sized photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm).
Application Fee: Exactly 1,900 THB in cash.
Thai embassy says 30 day extension will still be available, even after reduction to 15 days.
As of today, he is eligible for a 60-day visa exemption.
If and when the proposed changes are implemented, that will be reduced to 15-day visa exemption for Mauritian passport holders. For a longer stay, he will need to apply for a tourist visa.
Sofia Stoyanov Nobody can give a definitive answer to that yet.
I do see you’ve been told that you may be eligible for a 7-day extension. That is not a regular extension, but a 7-day extension denied stamp. Most likely, the same approach will apply as it currently does for Visa on Arrival entries.
Sofia Stoyanov Under the proposed changes, Mauritius is listed among the nationalities that would receive a 15-day visa exemption, together with a few others. That is a visa exemption, not Visa on Arrival.
