TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew a marriage visa in Thailand, it's important to note that you cannot renew a visa, but can apply for an extension. Necessary documentation generally includes the Visa Extension Form (TM.7), your passport, the original Non-Immigrant Visa, your marriage certificate, your Thai spouse's ID card, their house registration, and proof of sufficient funds (400,000 THB) in a Thai bank account in your name for at least two months prior to application. Each local immigration office may have slightly different requirements, so it's advisable to check directly with them for specific paperwork.

Visa Extension Form (TM.7)

2. Passport or Travel Documents

3. Non-Immigrant Visa

4. Marriage Certificate including the 2nd Page (I forget what it's called)

5. Thai wife's ID Card

6. House register of Thai wife

7. Children's Birth Certificate ( Not needed but I go loaded)

8. Letter from Thai Bank certified money in thai account (Alien's Name) more than

400,000 Baht 2 months before, bank book and ATM slip on date of application

9. Map to Home

10. Family Photo (silly photos outside residence, on sofa and sat on bed)

This is my list I had

Hi Marco. To be sure and have no delays whilst applying go to the immigration office you will use in advance and get a list of what they need for the Marriage Visa application. I applied yesterday in Khon Kaen. I had there list with me, the orginals documents plus 3 copies of everything they requested. They were happy i had followed there request and i was on my way home within 50 minutes. Its worth the trip to get the info first before applying.

Ask your local office. Every one seems to want something slightly different. What works for chiang mai might not work in hua hin or hat yai.

When does your visa expire?

@Bobby *******
29th of November I’m currently on three month extension

. I'm a bit confused by the three month extension, as there's no such thing. If you want to extend marriage visa you need 400k in a Thai bank account for two months prior to application. Do you meet this criteria?

3 month extension? I don’t think they exist. Are you meaning the initial 90 days from entry?

no meant that I left country came back and my visa nearly finished they gave me an extra 3 months on arrival

So you had a multiple entry visa and you came in around September, giving you 90 days on entry. That’s not what we’d call an extension. It’s a 90 day entry stamp that would normally be given to a non immigrant visa holder.

no ide nearly finished my 12 months non by a few days entered with extension of three months which took me to 15 months

As I said that’s NOT an extension. You were just using your visa wisely and maximising the validity of the visa with days to stay in Thailand. Terminology is important if you want to get the right advice.

Best thing to do is pop in to your local immigration and ask them for the handout and follow that closely. You will need two copies of EVERYTHING (notice i put that in capitals) You will also need
*****
0thb in your thai bank account in your name only for minimum 2 months prior to applying.

You can’t renew a visa. You buy a new one. You can extend the visa if you meet the financial requirements. The link below is the requirements for the Phuket office. Your local office may have slightly different requirements.
