TLDR : Answer Summary
After you have received a one-year extension based on marriage in Thailand, you can reapply for the same extension as long as you remain married and meet the financial requirements. Applications for new extensions can be submitted 30 days before the end of your current extension. Multiple individual experiences indicate that, while extensions can be repeated, some may eventually switch to a retirement visa for less paperwork.

I would like to say I've removed my comment which I only put as I thought the reply to my original had a hint of sarcasm which isn't needed on such an informative group as this nothing but praise

Again and again I got 6 extensions based on marriage Then couldn't show 400,000 baht

So switched to a retirement visa based on marriage with a proof of income letter from the British Consulate in Bangkok

For me I found this visa easier and a lot less paper work

Well as long as the applicant has an income letter from their embassy of at least 40k bath/month that is enogh. There is nothing saying the 40k bath/month have to be from inside Thailand or even going to a Thai bank account. My income letter only said that I have my salary from Sweden and they except it.

Ken on the contrary to the advice I was given from some people

You have to get a letter from your pension provider. I didn't

You can't use rent from a rented property abroad

I did

You gotta give 6mths current bank statements

I gave 3mths 6 mths old as they had more income than the present ones

When I read the proof of income form it states that you're figures are not checked

All I sent was the form 3ths bank statements and a letter stating my monthly income from my house rental andX by 12

And pension payment X 13

Added them together and divided by 12 for monthly income

Don't forget the fee all back in 9days it's that simple

Or is it

Nope, as long as you have the income certified by your Embassy or when it is income from inside Thailand proof of tax payments.

Affadavid is 6 months valid. Extension Of Stay based on marriagae have at all the Immigration Offices the same financial requirement: 400.000 Thb in bank of minimum 40.000 Thb income a month. They very with proof of relation, some want pictures inside-outside house, some do house visits.

As long as you stay married and have the financials you can apply 30 days before the end date for a new Extension of Stay.
