Good afternoon. May I ask, how long left on an extension of stay based on marriage do I need to be able to apply for another year? I am based in Bangkok.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a one-year extension of stay based on marriage up to 45 days before your current extension expires. While it is technically possible to apply on the last day of your current visa, it is not advisable due to potential complications in gathering necessary documents.

I give it 30 days before end date. Works for me in and out 20 minute's. Extension by marriage they always need more time than a straight up retirement.
You don't need any time left. It's not like when you're switching from another visa type to non-O.
You can wait until the last day of your stamp to apply. But definitely don't do that because it's highly possible you are missing something and need extra time to finish gathering documents etc.
James Lasenby-Griffiths That is the earliest you apply for your next extension. In most offices it it 30 days but in Bangkok it is 45 days. I recommend going as early as possible.
