TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around homeschooling a 14-year-old child while on a retirement visa in Thailand. Participants suggest that since the child is likely not Thai, attendance laws may not apply. There is uncertainty about whether a homeschooling program could qualify for an educational visa or affect the parent's visa status. Additionally, it is implied that the child could possibly get a dependent visa under the parent's retirement visa. Some community members express confusion regarding the initial inquiry and provide opinions on the necessity of clarifying questions for a better understanding.

Third, the question was if I was on an O visa and my daughter was homeschooled , therefore not going to a government or private school, how would that work?
I just thought since I said homeschooled that everyone would be intelligent enough to gather she was not on an education visa because she wasnโt going to a govt school. Geesh.

Maybe clarify what your question is.
You already have a visa, if it is about a visa for your child, I _think_ they may qualify for a dependent visa off your retirement visa. I know spouses of retirees under 50 can, I think minor children (under 20) can also. In the case of a spouse this requires no extra money in the bank.
Secondly, children under 15 are not fined (or banned) for overstaying. Not suggesting you do this, but some people do.

The question is would a homeschooling program get qualifying as Ed visa and get you a spousal visa

I am a pleasant person. I teach hundreds of children a day. ๐ I have the patience of Job, believe me.
Presume your child is not Thai. So laws regarding obligatory school attendance doesnt matter.
