hello my husband is Peruvian and came for an extension to learn he can only extend 7days. Originally he was given 3 months on his first tour visa. If he flies out and comes back will he get 3 more months or just 7days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Peruvian citizen can initially receive a 90-day visa exempt entry into Thailand. However, after this period, if he attempts to extend his stay, he may only be granted a 7-day extension. To obtain a fresh 90-day visa upon re-entry, he will need to exit Thailand and then re-enter, ideally by flying out and back in, since some land borders may not allow for this kind of re-entry. It is important to verify that he has the correct visa status upon his return.

As Robert said he can exit/re-enter the country and get another 90 day visa exempt entry stamp,
Be careful though not all land borders will let him bounce out and back in to get that 90 day stamp.. He might have to fly out and back
I think he showed up without ANY visa at all and was stamped in for free for 90 days because he comes from (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru or South Korea).
AND
On that 90 day visa exempt entry he can ONLY get a 7 day extension denied get out of thialand in a week stamp for 1900baht

if he fly out and comes back he will get a new 90 day stay based on the bilateral agreement
More information is needed, was it a SETV, a METV, normally a SETV is only 2 mths (60 days) whereas a METV from his home country is 3 mths (90 days). Which is it?
