TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen who has spent 90 days in Thailand on a tourist visa can re-enter the country. They are eligible for a 45-day visa exemption, which can be extended by another 30 days at a Thai immigration office. This re-entry can be done twice each calendar year using land border entries. However, there may be scrutiny from immigration officers regarding frequent entries. It is advisable to check the Thai Embassy website for accurate visa information based on planned stay duration.

As you have a passport from the UK ... you can enter Thailand VISA EXEMPT and that gets you 45 days stamp plus one 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office.

That can be done 2 times EACH CALENDAR YEAR by LAND BORDER entries.

There's no official rule about you entry into Thailand by air, but your Thai Immigration history of repeated entries into Thailand may result in the Thai Immigration Officers asking questions about Why you stay in Thailand .. and DENIED entry.

Suggest you look over the available Thai Visa's on your Thai Embassy website and get the correct visa for your planned stay.

@Graham *****
all MYANMAR Land BORDER crossings into Thailand are CLOSED TO ALL FOREIGNERS

Others have tried and denied entry into Myanmar from Thailand.

not a chance. Thai Immigration software links your Old and New passports as well as use facial recognition software and your fingerprints... They know who you are and your complete Thai Immigration history.

I entered with a brand new UK passport recently. They will take some time to link it to your old one (and probably ask for your old one, so it's helpful if you have it). Don't be alarmed by it as this is standard process, but still be prepared for further questions if you've used too many tourist visas, etc.

James thanks for your good info. I know Mae Sai-Tachileik border is still closed. Do you have any info about Mae Sot-Myawaddy border run? Is it possible at the moment?
