Changing passport: Just to confirm please, if anyone 100% know by experience.

My DTV workcation is on the old passport. 

I’m about to change passport due to ending of pages. 

As I know, old passport will be not valid after this procedure.

But I will be able to pass immigration holding two passports?

In Thailand, a Visa is attached to the passport and if the passport expires, you need a new Visa. I'm surprised that the visa expiration date was past the expiration date of your passport. Some people have been surprised when they've gotten a DTV that was less than 5 years because it was tied to the expiration date of their passport.

extremely rare that the DTV validity was tied to passport expiration. I've heard of only one or two cases, an aberration. Consulate staffers gone rogue.

It is probably because I was wrong and didn't know such a form existed.

It is ok to be straightforward and let somebody know they are lacking some useful information. You don't need to resort to passive-aggressive forms of communication 😆.

My DTV is 5 years but passport expires in ~2028. I've not had any indication that I'd need to resubmit for the DTV. I just assumed I'd carry both

you aren't the first of tens of thousands of people who have expired or lost, or damaged passports with a visa or extension, as mentioned carry both passports and your DTV visa printout when entering the country.
