How will renewing my passport affect my Thai visa approval page at immigration?
Hi! I have the DTV on my current passport. However, my passport is almost full and I’m about to renew it. How will this affect the approval page that I submit at immigration in the airport? It has my current passport number and I’m worried it may cause problems once I have a new passport. Has anyone walked through this yet? Can I do something at immigration? Or is it not a problem as long as my visa gets moved to my new passport? Thanks!
Answer summary
When renewing your passport while holding a DTV visa in Thailand, it is essential to carry both your old and new passports, as the visa approval page is linked to your old passport number. This practice ensures that you can confirm your visa status at immigration. Additionally, keeping the approved visa printout handy is advisable to prevent any potential issues at the airport.
