TLDR : Answer Summary
If you obtain a new passport while holding a DTV visa, you need to carry both your old and new passports until the visa's validity ends. It's advisable to visit the immigration office to update your visa information, especially if the old passport is marked invalid. When you get a new passport, you may receive a document from the embassy to assist with transferring your visa to the new passport.

it's like Fight Club, can't talk about it ๐. If you shorten Thailand to Thai and drop the - And Everything Else, you'll find it.

Get it changed over by immigration office to the new passport, especially if they poke a hole in the top of the old passport to make it invalid and change the passport numbers in the system, when I got a new passport last year the American embassy gave me a paper to take to immigration with me and they just gave the same visa in the new passport

You'll have to keep both passports with you for the duration of your visa validity.
