Hello ,

I would like to know if it is possible to get a 3 months visa extension on a 5 years elite visa at my local immigration office (Rayong) or if I have to go to Bangkok office. I'm asking because I've got different answers from the Elite company and my local immigration office.

Thanks for the helpful answers ☺️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining a 3-month extension on their 5-year Elite visa at the local immigration office in Rayong, as they have received conflicting information from the Elite company and the local office. Comments suggest that a 3-month extension may not be standard, with one user recommending contacting the Bangkok office instead, while another indicates the possibility of a 60-day extension for specific circumstances.

Please, let us know how it will go. My Elite visa expires next year.

That is a very rare thing and most people haven't heard about it, that's why you're getting a different answers. But if Elite stuff told you they can do that 3 months extension, I'm pretty sure they can.

Regardless your Rayong/CW question - I'm pretty sure you will need to go CW.

I contacted again the Elite to clarify the situation they confirmed the appointment is for and extension until December 2025 so not 3 month, they need TM30 , 90 days report and 2000b , I'll report on this post once done if it can help

@Evan ******
sounds like you are getting the 6 month COVID extension as you purchased your TPC membership during COVID.

There is no such thing as a 3 month extension. You might get a 60 day, visit Thai family, extension.

thank you,unfortunately I'm very confused now as it is the third different answer I get and I have no clue where to find this information. I wanted to renew my elite visa for 5 years because it expires in July , but the elite staff told me they won't have enough time to proceed the new visa . They told me to go to immigration office in Bangkok with their staff to buy a 3 month extension so they will have time to proceed the Visa. I booked an appointment with them in June but this morning I was at my local immigration office for something unrelated and I asked them if I could get the extension here , they answered yes but only in late June . Sorry for the long text I'm a bit lost and confused

I assume that you have already had the Covid extension from Elite. If not you should ask them. Everyone who was on an Elite visa during Covid should have received a 6 month extension. My Elite visa was due to expire in June 2024 but when I came back from overseas on 31 December 2023 I was stamped in until December 2024 so I asked the Elite rep at the airport why and she showed me a copy of a letter authorising a 6 months extension due to the inability to travel freely during Covid. If you haven’t had this you should ask them about it as it could make life a lot easier for you.

If Elite told you to go to immigration with their staff I would do exactly that and not try to interfere with the process by doing something different. I was in Thailand on an Elite visa during Covid and had to get a stay extension at CW as the borders were closed. The Elite staff met me at CW were very professional and walked me through the process very quickly and efficiently. I think you will find that the IO’s won’t do anything with an Elite visa without the correct documentation from TE. You have paid a lot of money for that visa so you might as well let them earn it

@Evan ******
then why are you asking go with your Elite people and get it done and why did you wait until the last minute??
Lloyd ********
@Bob *********
July is not "last minute"! Elite are at fault here.

@Lloyd *******
Which could be why they offered to send their staff with him to CW to get an extension

@Steve ********
Cool, but there still is no 3 month extension.

Yes there is no such thing as a three month extension for an Elite visa. The only way to extend normally is to get another visa. I was just thinking that if he hadn’t already had the 6 month covid extension he could get that which would give plenty of time for them to process his next visa. The fact that they have offered to send their staff to assist him to get a 3 month extension suggests that they know that they have made a mistake and are trying to correct it. As I said before I would suggest that he follows their suggestion and let their staff help to get the necessary extension.

There is NO 3 month extension. I would be hassling Elite, you are paying a very large premium, it is they who should be getting their ass in gear.
