Looking for some help in regards to a 7 day extension. I’ve already had a 30 day extension and it runs out on new year. My family are coming so wanted to get a 7 day so I can spend the time with them. I wasn’t good at forward thinking about the visa clearly 🙈
Is it possible to get the 7 day? Also can I go before my 30 days is up and they re-new the 7 days starting from the end of my 30 days?
Then I’m thinking cross the boarder and get another 30 day from there. Thanks 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a 7-day extension in Thailand after an existing 30-day extension is about to expire. They wish to extend their stay to spend time with family, but there’s confusion regarding the availability of a 7-day extension. Community responses clarify that there is technically no specific 7-day extension; rather, one could receive a 7-day stamp if their application for an extension is denied. Additionally, some advise considering a border run for a new 30-day visa.

Just to make clear, there is NO 7 day Extension of Stay. You apply for an Extension of Stay and for what ever reason this application is NOT approved you get a stamp in your passport and 7 days to leave the country. Bottom of this picture is an example of this stamp:
This all depends on the Immigration Officer, I have seen reports that the 7 days are added, I have seen reports that the 7 days start at application date and I even seen reports that you do not get them, because it is cheaper and not to far to do a border run.
