Hello

Little question.

I am french and so to stay in thailand before the Amnesty visa end I've been true an Agency to get my visa

I am now on a 90 days non O volunteer visa.

I can extend for 12 Month.

But my question is : is there a way that I can extend my Visa myself and not to pay the agency again ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks to understand if they can extend their 90-day Non-O volunteer visa in Thailand independently, without paying an agency. Comments suggest that self-extension is possible only if the user can answer specific questions regarding their visa issuance and the organization they volunteer for. Without proper documentation from the foundation they volunteer for, self-extension is not feasible.

No way to extend by yourself. If you dont have any document of Foundation Organization.

It's also impossible to change to another long term visa type.

Answer these Four questions correctly and you WILL be able to get an extension on your own. ;)

1 - What Immigration office did the 90 day Non-O volunteer visa come from (

2 - Is this 90 day non-O visa issued from the immigration office in the area of thailand where you live?

3 - What is the name of the foundation you volunteer for?

4 - How many days a week do you volunteer for them?

IF you are unable to answer those questions, it means you got that 90 day Non-O volunteer visa by handing your passport two photos and a pile of money to an agency who took it to a province you don't live in, to an immigration office you don't go to, and got a Non-O visa issued based on volunteering at a foundation you can't pronounce let alone volunteer at.

That leaves you with ONE choice, pay the agency that you used to get this back door, under the table, volunteer visa more money to get you the year extension..

Hi
@Tod ********
I know the questions the first 3 so the 4th one if i say between 1-3 days would that be something that suffice?

@Amy *****
that is between you, the foundation you volunteer for and the immigration office you apply for the extension at.

He's already on a slippery slope. A lot of us had to get on that slope because of travel restrictions during the pandemic as you know. I hope he finds a legit way.

isn't it true that some immigration offices may also fix his problem for a price without an agent.

I wouldn't know about that. I do not advocate people do these "grey market" (back door, wink-n-nod, under the table, hand over your passport get it back with a visa) type of things. That'd be between him and the immigration office he deals with. It is my experience that once you start down that road you're on it for a good while and it's a slippery slope to climb back up to push your own paper above the table to get visas/extensions.
