TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the possibility of applying for a two-month Tourist Visa for Thailand online. It is generally indicated that applications for the visa need to be submitted to the local Thai embassy or consulate. Currently, there is no e-visa option, and it was suggested to apply for a 'TR60' visa at the embassy or extend the stay once in Thailand. Some users mentioned alternatives like the visa-exempt entry, which provides a 45-day stay instead of the usual 30 days, alongside possible COVID extensions for a 60-day permission to stay.
Something to consider: a visa-exempt entry into Thailand at the moment will get you 45-day permission to stay (rather than just 30). It can be extended for a further 30 days in Thailand. Maybe it's not worth the trouble to get a Tourist Visa which will just get you another 15 days. Possibly they will still be selling covid extensions for 60-day permission to stay in Thailand (1,900 baht). I'm not sure it would be worth the trouble to get yourself a Tourist Visa.
I'm not sure it's possible to get a non-ED visa inside of Thailand. You would have to ask the school you are considering as they would know what's possible. If it is possible I don't think it's any easier to get a non-ED visa inside of Thailand being on a Tourist Visa than it would be being on a visa-exempt entry.
Non câĂš e-visa possibile per il momento. Devi andare a lâambasciata e chiedere un visto âTR60â da 60 giorni, o venire in Tailandia senza visto e andare a lâimmigrazione dopo 30 giorni per fare lâestensione.
I am Italian, but I live in Santo Domingo, there is no Thai embassy here, every year I go to Thailand without a visa but I only have one month and I ask for the extension in migration in bkk, but now I would like to know if I can have the two months through from the web site... in italy if i go to the thai embassy there are no problems to have the two months ...thanks
If your passport allows you to travel on Visa Exempt (45 days currently), you can enter Thailand without visa. You just need a COE and 14 day quarantine, insurance, etc.
You can extend it another 30 days when you arrive.
That is why I wanted to see if it is possible to get a two-month tourist visa before arriving in Thailand, because I want to stay for three months without the need to leave the country.
