Can I obtain a 60-day e-visa from the Thailand immigration website instead of extending my normal visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users confirmed that it is still possible to apply for a 60-day e-visa through the Thai immigration website, depending on the applicant's country of origin. Not all countries are eligible for the e-visa application, and while some suggest that extending a visa at the immigration office is easy, others prefer the convenience of obtaining a longer visa upfront.

Extension is so easy, too bad you "can't be bothered."

Easier to get the right visa than extend. Cheaper and saves a trip to immigration.
