I am looking to get an online e-visa for two months and extend it for an additional one month, making my stay a total of three months. I used to get the visa local from the Thai embassy in Greece and explain them what I was going to do. Now if I apply online and they see that my return flight is more of what they can give me atm will they refuse it? is it better to book a two months return flight and change my ticket in Thailand after I got the extension?
TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a two-month e-visa online and then extend it for an additional month. It's advisable to apply with your current onward travel plans, as the embassy may contact you for further flight information if necessary. Some consulates require proof of onward travel within the initial visa validity, so there is a risk that your application could be affected by your return flight. To avoid potential issues, consider booking your return flight for 90 days and purchasing a low-cost separate flight to a nearby country within the 60-day period.
