If you are holding the passports of following countries, you will be able to stay in Thailand for 90 days at a time without any extension. Argentinian, Brazil, Chile, South Korea and Peru.

do what you like. Check with Thai Immigration in Phuket. They are STRICTLY enforcing the TM30. Fining those who do not file. And if you are going to need a 30 day extension...its best you make sure the TM30 is filed. Otherwise you will not get the extension until it's filed.นิค *********

there is no fee to file a TM30 form with Thai Immigration. It does need to be filed within 24 hours of your arrival at their house.นิค *********

Most offer walk in service. Same day visa issue.
