Can I get a 60 day tourist visa in Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ, I normally get one from the London Embassy but they have changed the application to an online version with too little 0.05 mb for photos and documents. My plan is to stay 90 days (January to April) climbing ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™‚๏ธ in Railay Bay. I qualify for a retirement visa but I think this is too expensive. I have been visiting Thailand for 20 years so not a novice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on obtaining a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand, as the application process has changed to an online format that requires small-sized documents. They usually enter Thailand for climbing and inquire about staying for 90 days. Comments indicate that tourist visas cannot be obtained from within Thailand; however, one can enter visa-exempt for 30 days and extend for another 30 days. Other visa options mentioned include the Non-Immigrant O visa with financial requirements.

Not sure where your seeing the requirement of ยฃ7000 in a Thai bank account?
Robert *******
a Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years has more requirements than the Tourist Visa, that means more scans to make and more documents to upload for application of a visa. But as you ask, there is no Non Immigrant Visa based on being over 50 years of age without a financial requirement.

Thanks for your help is there anyway to get the retirement visa without depositing ยฃ7000 in a Thai bank?

Andy You can use money in your home country for an O-A visa but the O-A has an insurance requirement. There are several ways to get an O visa which is a 90 day visa with no insurance requirement. Eventually getting 1 year extensions of stay will require money in a Thai bank.

. There is actually no such thing as a retirement visa. If you could specify if you want an "O" visa (based on a number of possible scenarios) or an "OA" visa I'm sure you will get the right advice

You need to scan the photos in using a scanner

You cant get a tourist visa in thailand, you can get a visa exempt entry which gives you 30 days then you can go to immigration and extend it for a further 30 days.

You could also go to a neighbouring country like laos and apply for a tourist visa there.

Btw resizing the pictures for the online application is not difficult. As
@Robert ******
has stated above.

You can resize your photos and documents, there are several programs to find in google or as tip, upload them to Facebook, download them from Facebook and Facebook automatically resized them and they can be used.

You can not get a Tourist Visa inside Thailand
