Hi. I am currently on a 60 day tourist visa and have just got married. Can I go straight for the non o 90 day visa based on marriage instead of the 30 day extension first?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 60-day tourist visa and is seeking guidance on whether they can directly apply for a Non-O 90-day visa based on their recent marriage without first obtaining a 30-day extension. Comments indicate that it is possible to apply directly, but certain conditions must be met, such as having a minimum balance of 400,000 baht in a personal Thai bank account and sufficient time left on the current visa to process the application. It is suggested to consult the local immigration office to confirm specific requirements and ensure all documentation is in order prior to applying.

you certainly CAN apply for a 90 day non-O visa at the immigration office straight off a 30 day visa exempt entry BUT you aren't gonna be able to do it without the full 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only BEFORE you apply.
The reason people get the 30 day extension is because of the under review period that the immigration offices have (I think Buriram requires a minimum of 15 days left on your current stamp).
Few people can show up on a 30 day visa exempt and get their shit together fast enough document wise, funds wise to get to the immigration office while they still have enough time left on their current stamp.
you can show monthly income BUT if you come from a country whose embassy here doesn't issue the the affidavit of income from abroad your only option is to transfer in to a thai bank account in your name only the required amount (40K for marriage 65k for retirement) for 12 FULL months before you can use monthly income as the means to meet the proof of funds.
NOTE: The US, UK and Australia stopped issuing that income affidavit back at the end of 2018 so if you're from one of those countries you have to transfer in the money every month

I'm in the process of this too, you need to have at least 15 days left on your 30 day visa free stamp. I went last week with 5 days left and they said I'll have to extend by another 30 days then come back in two weeks when I have 15 days left and then apply

It appears you are using Buriram Immigration from your prior post.
Was your Thai marriage with a Thai Marriage Certificate issued and has it been registered in the Amphur of your province?
In other words...it was a legal anf registered Thai marriage and not just a local temple ceremony.
thanks for you replies. The marriage has been legally registered. I will pay a visit to Buriram immigration to ask the question. As yet I only have 200k in my Thai bank account which will shortly be at least 400k. I will read the other posts via the links you have provided.

Suggest you visit your Thai immigration office and ask for their requirements for the Non O married to Thai and the one year extension of stay as married to Thai.
What immigration office is your registered address with ?
Do you already have the 400,000 Thai baht deposited in your Thai bank account?
