Some websites say yes, some say no.

I am in Cambodia, however I am from the UK. Can I apply for a 60 day tourist visa, or is this only available if applied from country of residency?

I know I get 45 days, but I am staying 54 days ish, and there is no visa office on the island.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual asked if they could apply for a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand while in Cambodia, despite differing information online. They are a UK citizen and are limited by the lack of a visa office on their island. Responses confirm that while they can apply for a visa, since they will receive a 45-day visa exemption upon arrival in Thailand, they can extend it for an additional 30 days without needing a visa beforehand. Therefore, they have the option to stay in Thailand for up to 75 days without needing to return to the mainland to apply for a visa.

says. When you leave Cambodia and arrive in thailand you'll get 45 days 'visa exempt' and can extend that for 30 days.

Yes, all passport holders can apply for a visa. Some passports (not including UK) will take longer to approve if you do not have proof of residence in Cambodia.

You can apply online for a 60day visa. Takes around a week, sometimes less, to be processed.

no. But I don't think it matters where you apply online from. It's your home address that they need proof of.

unfortunately it is not that easy πŸ™‚ you have to apply from your home country, or country of recidence. That's why people use the neighbouring embassies to obtain their visa.

You can apply but you'd have to do it in person. Check the embassy website to find out the requirements.

You don't need it though because you'll be stamped in for 45 days and you can get a 30 day extension. That's 75 days total. You can apply for the extension about 15 days after arriving giving you an entire month to figure it out.

you're in Cambodia asking about visa for Thailand? You won't need a 60 day tourist visa because you get 45 days when you arrive plus an extend for 30 days.

she literally just said the island she will be staying on in Thailand doesn't have an immigration office, which is why she wants a 60day visa
