Hi all. Sorry for asking another question. Im just a bit confused with all the info online and cant seem to get a straight answer. We are in Thailand (first family visit) for 60 days over December and January. We are from the UK so think we are visa free for this visit.

We then plan to visit Cambodia for a month (February) (travelling from Bangkok on coach). We are then thinking we will head back to a different part of Thailand for another 30-60 days. (March-April)

Can we do this? Do we have to get out of Thailand for longer than 30 days before we re-enter again? Will I need a visa for out 2nd visit? I read something about only being in Thailand for so many days in 6 months/1 year. Would these 2 visits take us over that limit?

Over the past weekend I had to re-stamp in (border bounce).. I went to Cambodia, stayed for about 3 minutes and came back.

Thai immigration (and likely the neighbors) are happy to welcome tourists who come to spend time and money, then leave. That sounds like that is what you are doing... I don't think you will have any problems.

If you get pulled aside at an immigration check-point. Make sure to complement the culture, people and food. Some people get this part twisted. If you become argumentative the Immigration Officer can deny you entry and be a pain in the ass... If you are polite and respectful the Immigration Officer is all to happy to grant you permission to stay (and spend money). No kidding, people do get this point twisted.

Plan for 59 days, not 60, to avoid some cock up in time.

Come and go. We've left and entered 3 times in the last 3 months and haven't even had a second look from immigration as they stamp our passports with zero questions on the 3rd entry

1. yes if the IO allows you to enter Thailand.

2. you may exit to Cambodia if their VISA allows longer than 30 days so look it up.

3. You may still enter Thailand on a 60-day Visa Exempt as long as the IO allows you to enter Thailand.

You'll receive a 60 day visa exempt stamp each time you enter Thailand. There is no requirement to be outside of Thailand any amount of time before returning.
