Can I apply for a Thai visa while in Bali if I have UK residency?

Hi everyone, cancelled visa question ๐Ÿ˜ž

I'm in Bali atm and applied for the Thai e-visa online. My permanent residency is in the UK (I used an online application to the Thai embassy in the UK).

Today I received an email that I cannot apply for 60 days visa because I'm not in England atm.

Do I have to apply through the Indonesian embassy? Or is my only option the VoA?

I've been in Thailand for 3 months this year (March-May) already with no issues

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is facing issues with applying for a Thai visa while in Bali, as the online application was rejected due to their current location outside of the UK. They are seeking alternatives to apply for a visa in Indonesia, specifically whether they must apply at the Indonesian embassy or if they can use other options like the Visa on Arrival (VoA). Responses suggest that UK citizens cannot obtain a VoA but can apply for a tourist visa in Bali, which allows for a 60-day stay that can be extended, or enter Thailand visa exempt for 30 days (45 days from October 1st) with a possible extension.

You can apply in Bali for a tourist visa - youโ€™d get 60 days (plus 30 with an extension). Alternatively you can enter visa exempt for 30 days (45 after October 1st) and that can also be extended.

I have just found out you cannot. Apparently, they have changed it and it's only in Jakarta now.

Ok. That might be the case nowadays. Covid restrictions changed stuff. Before you could in Bali. Thank you for the update.

You are required to apply from the Thai consulate based on where you physically are.

UK citizens do not qualify for visa on arrival. They qualify for visa exempt. Visa exempt will be 45 days starting October 1st, and can be extended one time for 30 days.
