TLDR : Answer Summary
A Cambodian individual entering Thailand on a 14-day visa exemption inquired about the possibility of converting their status to a 60-day tourist visa while remaining in Thailand. Commenters discussed the unusual aspect of obtaining a tourist visa from within the country, with mentions of the option to extend the stay for a fee of 1900 baht at immigration.

Were you stamped in for 30 days? I'm pretty sure you can go to immigration and get an extension for 1900 baht. But try early as they add the days on top of your admitted until date.

Sorry, I didn't read properly! I don't think you can get an extension being from Cambodia.
. Yes. But name any other country that allows you to obtain a tourist visa for that country while you are inside it. I can't think of one. And I dont mean extensions.
Strange ain't it? Spend your money in another country when being able to do it in country would result in the same outcome. As they say in the film M.A.I.D. (Thai film) ... :Thais are d #^*b"...great film!
