TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they need to file their 90-day report while on an OA visa and currently benefitting from the COVID-19 90-day reporting amnesty. Responses suggest that while some believe there's an exemption under the amnesty, it is still advisable to file the report as usual to avoid potential issues. Many recommend doing the report, especially since immigration offices are less busy, or to wait until back in Chiang Mai if currently away.

Then I would say at this time

, you should definitely take advantage of the "no 90 day reporting until July 31st" amnesty dealy and not do anything about it until you get back up to Chiang Mai where you live.

You'll have to do your first 90 day report at your local immigration office, and after that, you can do it online. You can use one of the following three programs to do the 90 day report:

Immigration web-portal;

Android eServices application;

The real way that "no 90 day report" clause was meant (but sadly not written that way) WAS that the people who got the covid extensions and then got the free amnesty would be in the country longer than 90 days on an extension making them obligated to do a 90 day report according to how the law is written about, BUT they exempted them and it even appears that people on long stay stamps/extensions are exempt too BUT we are advising IF your 90 day report comes due just go file it like normal.

I'd say even if you are covered on the "no 90 day reporting" just go ahead and do it, The immigration offices are empty now, and there's no down side to doing your 90 day report.
