Hello to everyone, I was wondering if I need to go for a 90 day reporting since I am now on visa amnesty in Chiang Mai. I came in January this year on touist visa, and got extension to April 18, 2020, then went on with the amnesty staying in Chiang Mai for over 90 days until now. Do I have to go to the Immigartion Office for the 90 day report this week? Thanks for anyone anwering to my question.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the requirement for 90-day reporting while on visa amnesty in Chiang Mai, having initially entered with a tourist visa and extended it before the amnesty. Commenters clarified that since the user does not hold a visa or extension allowing for a stay longer than 90 days, they are not required to report.
I was on the amnesty but have now applied for an education visa. Will I need to do 90day reporting?

Hi Jen, I'm in exactly the same situation but kind of waiting in limbo because as far as I understood, you have to leave Thailand and re-enter to activate the ED visa (but that's obviously very difficult to do right now). Are you also waiting to see if the announcement provides more clarity on this? Or are you able to have your ED visa in-country? Thanks ๐

You don't have to leave the country at the moment. The language school organises it

you'll need to do 90 day reporting AFTER you get your first extension on the 90 day ED visa you applied for.
