Hi,
I have a NON-IMM O visa. Last entry to the country was on 10th Febr 2020.
Today I went to Chaengwattana Immigration office as I read here in a couple of posts that it’s recommended to do the 90 day report as there are no long waiting time.
Well, as a matter of fact I was waiting for about 2 hours and after the waiting time the immigration officer over the counter whose English was very bad and limited told me: ‘No extension visa’ and she was pointing to my visa. I was asking her: I don’t need to report? She said: No, no. No extension visa. Then I asked, ok, but I would like to make the 90 day report, what should I do next? When should I come back? She kept saying: No extension visa and then she showed me to leave.
I’m a bit clueless. Can anybody help what went wrong? What should I do now? Thank you for all the help.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused after visiting the Chaengwattana Immigration office to report their 90-day status while holding a NON-IMM O visa. Despite waiting for two hours, the immigration officer insisted that no extension or report was needed. Comments clarify that since the user is on amnesty after their visa's initial stay period expired, they are not required to make a 90-day report and the officer's responses were reflecting a misunderstanding of the visa situation.
