I'm not convinced that letter will work... I still have until 11th April until my extension runs out, so trying to see what Thailand govt decides within that time regarding tourists... While I'm a citizen, the US isn't my home. I haven't lived there for 10 years. Adding the fact that the US is the last place I would want to to be with Trump in charge.

I e-mailed the US embassy in Bangkok explaining my situation. I received an e-mail back saying - U.S. Embassy issues this letter requesting Thai Immigration Authorities to assist U.S. citizens to temporary extend their Thai visa due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. Please find attached requested letter. - No idea if it'll work because it doesn't have any of my specific information on it, and I've already extended my 30-day visa once already.
