I dunno, does it help? If you have a thai wife then you can get a visa and a bank account no problem!

JD,last time I came back, everyone told me I must go to immigration, so I thought better go as this must be a new thing. I got to immigration and they asked why was I there? I said ‘to report I’m back’ the whole immigration rolled about laughing and said ‘we can see that but what are you doing here?’ I said obviously I just popped in to give you a laugh! And off I went. So are you supposed to do this?

Yeah, bit of a trek though! At least down South you can hop on to an air Asia flight without leaving the airport, 1 hr 20 mins and your there

I’m not sure, I would think it would be the same as Suvarnabhumi. After an hour and a half interview, I’ve never flown into BkK again. I go KL to Krabi or Phuket and they are actually polite and welcome you!

Avoid BKK! Enter Thailand from another airport and then take an internal flight.

you go to local immigration every 90 days, the school gives you the papers to take and it costs 1900 baht each time.

you can apply in Thailand but you would need to still leave and go to Malaysia or neighbouring country to get the visa and then enter Thailand. Most of the schools you go for 2 hrs, 2 times per week, so it’s not much time at all, to be honest it’s quite nice, little bit of time out from the usual! Lol. You could always request a different class for your husband so you don’t go at the same time, the school will run a few classes.

Oops, meant to say you can take the papers to the Thai embassy or consulate in your country.
