Thanks everyone for the good information. So putting that all together you can "generally" apply for a 1 year extension 45 days or less before your last entry stamp expires. However, as I am on Amnesty I SHOULD be able to apply anytime now, the earlier the better.

I am inquiring because I visited Buriram Immigration early August to inquire about this as I may have to leave the country for work sometime in the near future and might only be able to get back after my Visa expires Oct. 24th. I would like to have this extension sorted before leaving as it would be one less headache when I have to look at getting back. The Captain seemed shocked that I would want to get a 1 year extension now and basically said, cannot now come back before visa expires or get new visa or come back on a visa exempt stamp. None of which I want to do 😂

No, this will be my first extension. I am currently on amnesty until 26th September with my Non-O expiring 24th October.
