Why is the Chiang Mai immigration office closed on March 26th?

Our school is closed too, as it was announced ‘a national holiday’. No one can tell what the holiday is, even my Thai friends 😂. Keep in mind that other government facilities might be closed too.

 the thing is those passport holders are Russians ( as you said they get waivers), I have a dual citizenship ( Russia and Ukraine). As I know Ukraine is on visa exemption, so if this how it works hopefully they will provide me with 45 days 😅. Thank you for explanation.
