Hey,

From what I gathered and understood some people who just arrived get a 30 days visa exemption some get 45. Can anybody explain this magic? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The difference in Visa exemptions in Thailand relates to the traveler's country of origin. Certain countries, like Hong Kong, Laos, Macao, Mongolia, Russia, and Vietnam receive a visa waiver known as the 'ผ.ผ.' stamp, which grants them a 30-day stay. In contrast, travelers from other countries may receive a 'ผ.45' stamp, allowing for a 45-day stay. To clarify individual circumstances, it's recommended to consult directly with immigration authorities.

Totally has to do with the type of entry.

As you can see the passport on the left is marked ผ.ผ. 30 that ผ.ผ. means you come from one of the 6 countries that gets a visa waiver entry (Hong Kong, Laos, Macao, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam) NOT from one of the 51 countries that get a visa exempt entry. (notice the stamp on the right is marked ผ.45 (not ผ.ผ.)

I could be mistaken but thought those 6 countries also got 45 day entry stamps. All you can do is go to your immigration office and see what they say OR go back to Suvarnabhumi airport and ask them there.

the thing is those passport holders are Russians ( as you said they get waivers), I have a dual citizenship ( Russia and Ukraine). As I know Ukraine is on visa exemption, so if this how it works hopefully they will provide me with 45 days 😅. Thank you for explanation.

in your case, you just make sure to use Ukraine passport to enter Thailand.

In googling around it appears that there is conflicting information on whether the 6 countries on the "visa waiver" list also get 45 days when they stamp in. Some websites listed them, some don't. I'd say check with the immigration office or the airport for sure
