Who do you recommend flying with? Nok and Air Asia seem to not leave early enough for me to get there, get across the border and to the consulate before 11:30am to apply.

Atleast on the bus I can sleep while on the way, get there first thing to apply and only pay for 1 night accomodation before coming back the next afternoon.
