Learning Thai is not that difficult I taught myself. Not a fan of Ayutthaya or Lopburi but they are certainly better than most places I avoid. Yes, the Thais living outside these areas in my opinion tend to be much more friendly and down to Earth than others that live in places like Phuket or Chiang Mai. These places just ooze phoniness and trashy looking.

Did not say I was scammed. Attempted more than a few times. Hua Hin was paradise in 1997 as was most of Thailand. Hua Hin is a pit so many superior places in the south to live. You should know that! Don,t get out much?

The last foreigners I saw were at the Bangkok train station. None on my train , none afterwards on my bus and none where I am at currently since then. 99.% of most foreigners here tend to travel in herds. Ask any foreigner at the Bangkok train station for example where they are going it always tends to be the same places. Just human nature I guess safety in numbers?

Saying where I travel I am often the only one. Example where I am at the moment. The last foreigner I remember seeing was in Bangkok about March 1st.
