What is the difference between applying for a retirement visa outside or in Thailand? Isn't it easier to apply in another country (I am currently abroad anyway)?

Thanks! I called the German Konsulat in CM. They do it there, too and you can wait for it (you need to make an appointment)

Huh! Thanks for your quick reply! On the extension I'm not a Thai Elite member any more. They won't do anything for me... ;-). I try the electronic way first (saved the link from Tod already 👍). If it doesn't work to which Immigration I have to send the letter? Samui or CM? It takes at the moment 5-6 days to get a letter up through Thailand...
