Edit 2. Is it possible to enter Thailand on a visa exemption, stay for around 6 weeks, and then exit and re-enter to activate my 90-day Non-O visa once it's approved, without any issues?

@Stuart **********
thanks Stuart. I can fly anytime. With or without the non O. I'm applying in the UK not Thailand.

If my visa is not approved b4 I fly, I shall just arrive and get 60 days visa exempt. Thanks again.

Edit. I did Google it and am unable to message them via there page for some reason. When I click the contact us button it takes me to a page that doesn't work.

Thanks for your replies folks.

I'm retiring this year so wanted to fly in on a non O then extend for 1 year. I know I can do this if I fly in visa exempt but just wanted to try and do the right thing and look good for the immigration officer who receives me.

Regarding the Facebook page for the Royal Thai Embassy UK. Stuart Cummings did post a URL for them but that page doesn't seem to work for me, hence why I was asking.

Been married to a Thai for nearly 30 years. Used to get a yearly ME non O till they discontinued them. I'm 6 months in and 6 months out of Thailand.

Thanks again for your replies. And a special mention to the all star contributor for his help

As a late singer once sung."Nothing compares to you".

You're the master Tod. You are no going anywhere.

Of course Benjamin. It was my assumption that he had obtained his 90 day non O based on one of these two options, hence why I said "most likely".

Sorry if I gave any misleading advice.

You can most likely get a 60 day extension based on the same reason you obtained your visa.
