How long can a 90 day non O visa based on marriage to a Thai, obtained from RTE London, be extended for in Thailand? Is it 30 or 60 days

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 90-day Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai can be extended once for an additional 60 days, provided you submit proof of your marriage. After this extension, to stay longer in Thailand, you must satisfy the conditions for a one-year extension of stay, which includes having at least 400,000 Thai Baht in a bank account in your name. It is advisable to apply for the extension well before your initial 90 days are up.

Thanks James. Been coming for 20+ years. But with no 1 year visas available at the moment have to make do with a 90 day. 60 day extension will be perfect.

I only want to stay for around 5 months so all good.

How soon before my 90 days is up do I need to apply for the extension?

Thanks to yourself, Tod and Benjamin for all the great advice you give.

Regards,

Stuart.

@Stu *******
you apply for an extension at most offices when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp.

One time family visit extension of 60 days with proof of marriage to Thai.

Beyond that you will need to meet the one year extension of stay as married to Thai requirements including the 400,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account in your name only.
