They just cannot implement it immediately. The proposal will go to The Royal Gazette once it gets approved it will get implemented. People travelling after 26th will have to do test on 7th Day. (RT PCR).

Will selecting the wrong Test & Go hotel affect my QR pass approval for Thailand?

No it won’t as when one scans the QR code it only confirms your vaccination dates,name and until when your code is valid. If it was a problem they would have rejected your request.
