I hope this can help someone out there .....in Malaysia, I applied for Non -O( spouse visa) on the 4th Oct. On the 16th Oct received an email saying my name applied in the Non-O application is different from my passport and I had to reapply again. So I did re-appled immediately on the same day with the name corrected.
On the 17th Oct, they send me a message saying that I had to resubmit 4 documents ie
1. Photos without shadow( I guess they meant that the photo were taken with one side of my face a shade darker)
2. Asking me to upload a proper Bank statement. ( I send a bank statement from the bank officer/ manager who had her signature on it...so it's quite confusing what they wanted). So I decided to upload directly from my bank online.
3. Asked to Submit my Thai spouse house registration....which I did not submit in the original submission)
4. Submit photo copies of every page of my passport including empty pages. In my original submission, I only uploaded the front page showing my personal details. That's a kicker!
I did what they asked and resubmitted for the 2nd time on the 18th Oct.
Finally on the 27th Oct evening my application was approved. I booked a flight to Thailand on the 28th Oct. Obviously I had to burn my original flight on the 22nd Oct. Not all Thai embassy/ Consulate requirements are the same.
