Check out AXA travel insurance as well. Might be cheaper. Covers you for your trip out of Thailand plus up to 14 days when you get back, if you catch the virus. The Emerald plan is the only plan that provides over $100,000 for medical expenses

"Please note that these requirements do not apply to land border crossings. According to our latest information on 19 March 2020, land border crossings are still possible without requiring medical certificate or travel insurance. However, each land border crossing may change its requirements without prior notice."

Yes, this is extremely important to note. If anyone doesn't have insurance that meets those requirements, i have found that AXA covers COVID-19 with their travel insurance from Thailand. Would need to take out their Emerald plan which gives 4,000,000 Baht ($100,000) for medical expenses - a 2 week trip to Cambodia with this plan is about 2000 baht. Again, need to speak to them to confirm if this is definitely going to be accepted at immigration

I will call Air Asia tomorrow to ask what the situation is

Yeah i need to decide on this quick. There is still the option of flying back home to the UK, which wasn't the plan, but if it needs to be then so be it. But I'd rather not go back to the UK right now with all this going on - i'm hearing of so many friends of friends coming down with symptoms, and when I look at the stats I think going back there right now is a stupid idea

It's possible that between now and the end of the month they may make an announcement that will help out those in a tricky situation. Don't forget there is also the option to extend a tourist visa for a further (final) 7 days for 1900 baht, if you haven't already, which will buy you more time to see how things pan out.

Just found this article which was written on the 16th. "Last week he moved to ban "foreigners traveling from" Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and the U.S., effective March 17. He later extended the restrictions to Iran. On Saturday, he released a further statement urging Cambodians not to visit the targeted countries." --- "Nationals from the six countries who have not been in their homelands for more than 14 days can enter Cambodia but must show proof of their whereabouts during the two-week period,"
