 I have a ticket out but it's in July. Maybe I need an onward ticket within the 30 days, just to make sure there are no issues, thanks for the advice

By that you mean if I go to the immigration office in time and apply for an extension, right? Or the moment I arrive in Thailand, so the 8th of May at the passport control?

 thank you, I will! If it happens, do they correct it without a hassle? Last time they said they can't do it because I did the extension "too early" and should reschedule my flight which was not possible...
