try to fill the form of the thai e-visa and you will understand. If you stay currently in Vietnam you can choose only Ho Chi Minh consulate or Hanoi embassy. You can not choose the embassy or consulate of your Country

I've been traveling between Thailand and Vietnam since April, and one thing I've realized well is that I will always refer to government authorities to find out things about visas. A lot of times people think they know things and instead they don't know anything, and anyway the responsibility for applications that are submitted is always yours even if an agency intervenes.

I am currently in Ho Chi Minh and one of those assholes 3 months ago gave me the only scam I have received since I have been in Asia. Piss them off now and don't give them any confidence. In early October when I came back I met him again twice and treated him very badly but it was better not to overdo it being km from home
