I am visa exempt till Dec 23, will soon request 30 day extension (in Bangkok), then in Jan intend to take train to Vientiane and buy a 60 day Thai visa to reenter rather than hope for another 60 visa exemption. Does that sound feasible?

Please clarify, is going to Lak Si the same as previously going to Chaeng Wattana? Use BTS Pink Line and get off at Government Complex? Many thanks, gotta go next week.

Yes, Miyabara-san retired. Next generation now provide visa services out of a small office connected to the Maid Birgade cleaning service (Miyabara family business). Located outside the city in an industrial zone, no public transport goes there. Can use Thai Royal Consulate website's map to navigate.Has no set hours, so need to call for an appointment several days in advance. 808 538-6397
