The transfer stamp says: Original Non-Immigrant Type NON-O. That means we dont need to present evidence of Med. Ins. (even tho' we have it)? many many thanks for your advice.
anyone needing the Bangkok translation service we used, let me know. It was very professional. They include in their package, not only the translation, but also attending to the DFA offfices to get it stamped.
Mr. Happy 555.. yes we have dealth with him for this past 15 years. I have grey hair to prove it๐ all I can say is, this route works for us. But you know, every persson who walks in to an IO is liable to get a different answer. we have to submit an up to date marriage cert, translated into Thai and certified, by our Embassy and then re-certified by the Thai DFA. NOt usre of the sequence, as its been 11 months since we went through the hoops. I will check, next week.
My situation may be different...but when I apply for an extension, I use the 800k deposit as my qualifier and then, after I have my extension stamp, my wife applies, by piggy-backing on my visa extension.
